Lost Pet Checklist

  1. Register your pet with TheFoundBin.com - it's fast, easy and free!
  2. Search TheFoundBin.com's worldwide database
  3. Search your own property thoroughly - every nook and cranny. Pets can find their way into the most surprising places.
  4. Walk the neighborhood, talk to your neighbors, and leave your phone number with anyone you trust to keep an eye out for your lost pet.
  5. Print flyers directly from your pet's details page and post them within a 3-mile radius of where your pet was lost.
  6. Offer a reward (TheFoundBin.com does not recommend that you specify an amount due to potential lost and found scams).
  7. Call your local veterinarian offices during the day; after 5 PM, try calling veterinarian emergency clinics.
  8. Visit your local Animal Control office, humane societies, and animal shelters
  9. It's unfortunate, but your pet may have been injured on the road. Call local and state road crews, Department of Transportation (DOT), and Animal Control offices daily to see if they have found your pet.
  10. Place an ad in your local newspaper or classifieds magazine (i.e. The Reminder, Yankee Swapper, etc.) and check the newspaper lost and found ads daily.
