Tony Brown remembers hearing a ping. - The then-Lexington High School student immediately knew what had happened. His cherished high school class ring had slipped from his soapy finger while he was working at a car wash one summer day in 1968.
It bounced off the concrete and disappeared. Brown and his coworkers searched diligently for it, to no avail. He thought he would never see his ring again.
Little did Brown, a 1969 Lexington graduate, realize at the time is that he'd put that same ring on his finger more than 38 years later.
