Lost and found Identification key to finding missing pets

Stacy Carrier, a social work major at the University of North Alabama, screamed, jumped and gave thanks when she saw Eli, her 1-year-old half beagle, half border collie.
Three days before, a quick jaunt outside for the dog turned into a search that included posting fliers, calling vets and finally visiting the Florence-Lauderdale Animal Shelter where she found Eli.
"It's fabulous," she exclaimed upon retrieving her dog, who wasn't wearing a collar when he ventured off. "I was almost getting adjusted to the fact that I wasn't going to have a dog."
